Request for two additional location events

This is a request for two additional location events:

1. "reboot" to be sent when the hub is given a reboot command
2. "shutdown" to be sent when the hub is given a shutdown command

Create a "hub is rebooting" automation to warn family members

I have an occassional but important WAF issue - when I have to reboot one or more of our two hubs (FW update, some maintenance activity, other edge cases) automations stop working during the reboot and while the hub mesh is reconnecting after reboot, for any meshed devices. For some reason, my wife has the ability to spider-sense the reboot and try to do things specifically during that time. I try to warn her in advance, but have to admit I do seem to forget to warn her more often than not. Wo…

I think you are presuming that there is any time available to do anything when these happen. As it stands now, the reboot or shutdown begins immediately, and it is too late to send an event or respond to an event. I doubt that delaying these actions would be a particularly good thing to do. Both of these are user initiated commands, so surely the user can do something else prior if need be.

I’d like the events to be stored in the log, as opposed to be used to trigger automations. This feature would be useful for installers who support end users.
