Is there any way to tell which devices use which Zwave repeater?
I have 2 Aeotech 7 Range extenders - both are inside the Hub but I can't tell which devices are using them.
Under device details I see:

This makes me wonder if they are actually useful and being used. They use the Generic Zwave Repeater driver
Not built into the hub, no. It is possible with external sniffing tools or secondary controllers plus other software though.
Thanks - any links to the secondary controllers and software I could look at please
Your Z-wave will bounce through the most unexpected devices. So don't overthink it because you can't control it or change it, really. You can only be wise about it.
Check out this thread. I have one. It works well.
Maybe you've heard people around the community talking about sniffing packets or even misspelling the word "sniffer" as "zniffer". What are they talking about? Maybe some of your friends or relatives have even tried it. Maybe you've even considered experimenting with "zniffing" or "sniffing" but you don't know where to get started?
This is a confusing time in your home automation lives. Your hubs and devices pools are growing and maturing. You might be experiencing new and exciting feeling…
