The priority of the HE automatically assigned Zigbee device drivers seem to be:
Custom driver - when there is a complete match between the joining Zigbee device fingerprint ( model, manufacturer, inCluster) and a fingerprint in a user driver. If two or more custom drivers contain the same fingerprint, then HE picks up the first registered driver.
System driver - when there is a complete match between the joining Zigbee device fingerprint ( model, manufacturer, inCluster) and a fingerprint in a system driver.
Custom driver - when there is a partial match of the device inClusters list with the same inClusters list in any custom drivers. HE assigns this partially matching custom driver, which was registered first.
'Device' driver - when all of the above fails.
Your case seems to be #3 - a new manufacturer device fingerprint is not present in any custom driver, and it happened to match an inClusters list present in another driver.
This can be resolved when the particular new device fingerprint is added to the right driver (this one?). If you want to try again pairing it directly to HE, please post the device model and manufacturer data.
I'm using this with the Sonoff SNZB-02D - My one hope was to use the offset setting to change the temperature on the display, but it looks like this only changes how Hubitat reports the reading anyone else not found the temperature on their display 3-5 degrees too high?
Anyone have one of these with aa or aaa batteries that can confirm it works with the Alexa zigbee hub. At our cottage just want one in the freezer and one in the wine fridge and hubitat would be overkill so got a gen 4 echo with zigbee but the tuya will not pair/be found.
I don’t think that the LCD display supports the 12 hours am/pm format.
If you look closely at the LCD display under specific low angle, you could see the contours of all the possible characters that can be displayed on it. If you don’t see am/pm placeholder, the hardware does not support it.
I understand. Thank you for the prompt reply and again, thank you for the driver. I know nothing about programming. In the ‘80s I attempted LOGO and BASIC on an Atari 800. Couldn’t get the lightbulb in my brain to illuminate.
In my later years, I read that if you have issues with a second language like Spanish, your brain isn’t wired to code.
Give me a check engine light or a no start and I’m like a pig in mud.
Is that the e-ink luminance and T/H sensor?
Have you tried pairing it again to the HE hub?
This device is problematic, but shouldn't send illuminance updates so frequently.. And the illuminance values are incorrect, too high.
I have two SONOFF SNZB-02 which paired with no problems at all. I decided to buy a couple of SONOFF SNZB-02D but I can't get either to pair. I have a C8 and am runnning the latest release firmware.
Any advice on how I can get them to pair?
Some of the new Zigbee 3.0 devices are difficult to pair to C-8 …
Have you tried the option “Pair trying to avoid Zigbee 3.0 repeaters” ?
Others reported that the SNZB-02D pairs to C-8, the success seems to depend on the other devices, especially Zigbee repeaters in the same Zigbee network.
When paired successfully, this device works OK also using the HE inbuilt drivers.
