Honestly say I've never tested that nested behavior with respect to regions. I'll have to check to give you a better answer. Attempting phone type actions (get phone regions, etc) won't work since the hub doesn't currently parse those incoming messages. I should be able to do that easily though.
I would have thought the regions generate from the phone should have rippled through all 4 though.
That is how it currently works. If you added a geocode key, then the lat/lon will be replaced by a street address.
If you just want the transition regions, each device driver has 3 specific attributes for that (transition region, time, and direction) that you can use to fire a piston on.
Hey Gary - here's my device - should be similar - does this help?
If I opened the first graphic - It shows what seems to be an iframe
the second image also seems to be an iFrame. I didn't waste a copy paste here. Is that what you wanted to peek at?
Looks like everything is in the individual attributes, I'd just have to assemble the component pieces. Could maybe even do that with Tile Builder Grid like:
html code cleanup in preparation for the clickable google map tile that @jonathan.lorber was asking about
Recorder URL links are only displayed if they are accessible outside the network
Dynamically switches to cloud Recorder link support if the recorder has a 'https://' URL. NOTE: It needs to be secured with a public facing certificate as well. A local https URL that is self-signed will not work.
Tile cleanup/reformatting/better space usage.
Recorder 'Past Locations' tile now has start/end date selection boxes (adds that nice feature Owntracks Frontend has). By default, the start date/time is 12-hours before the current time. This default is configurable in each member's device from 0.1 to 31.0 days. You can select further back in time with the selectors, it just is slower to load the further back in time you select.
Ability to see lines vs breadcrumbs will be in the next version (not saying I 100% forgot about it until now @jonathan.lorber )
Thank you for considering this - I know I'm an edge case!
I would have thought so too - I tested this morning:
On the phone app; a new region added, and one deleted only cascade to the first hub.
On the first hub, regions added cascade up to the phone app, but now down to hubs 2/3/4
regions added on hubs 2/3/4 do not cascade up or down.
If there is a way to ripple, that would be fantastic.
Seems what I thought I did and what actual happens is a different alternate reality. Currently only the location/transition packets ripple though. Easy fix to make the regions do the same.
I'll most likely add a "push regions to secondary" hub button as well. Trying to pull from the phone way down the chain becomes hard. #4 would tell #3. When #3 got an update, it would tell #2, etc. (so potentially would require 4-location updates for it to ripple upstream to the actual phone).
But pushing down would be instant. Nice thing is if you are on the primary hub, changing regions to the phone, the phone echo's what you changed, so they would just ripple to the end once I make the fix.
Sorry to bother - Not sure how to clear or fix this - it seems to be a tile painting problem.
A few days ago (2? 3?) My owntracks tile on HD+ Stopped displaying my photo/icon. I didn't think much of it - but I did try uploading a fresh copy to file manager.
However more important is that the tile is not showing the date / time of event correctly. My error logs which were clean 4 days ago now have these messages:
I'm guessing the '(Div)' error is in the HTML of the tile? I don't believe anything has changed with 2 minor exceptions - I updated the long/lat to be a tad more accurate, and a driver/app update I applied for Hubitat Owntracks Presence.
Here's an image of the Tile - note the date shows 3/4 (today is 3/6)
I have been noticing slow behavior with all of our four owntracks users. Usually about 10min lag before nothing happens.
Also noticed that one of the users is correctly changing location attribute but transition direction and transition region is stuck to home.
My dashboard tiles do not update the location dynamically. I have to refresh the page manually to get the latest location. This happens for both the Presence tile and the MemberLocation tile. The device page tiles are updating in real time. This occurs on any device including a chrome browser on windows laptop.
I'm just working through some new Google Maps type updates. One is an info box that pops up when you click on a user to show location/stats about them, the other will be a means to see all your region pins on one map, drag them around, resize the radius', add new, etc.
That should be a pretty stellar ease of use improvement if you signed up for the free Google maps API key.
Maybe I misunderstood the context, but I was talking about on a Hubitat dashboard. Should I expect the image to update periodically without refreshing the page?
Just checking if there was a different behavior with the direct links. I also confirmed that those two tiles don't auto-refresh, but the Google Maps one does. Let me see what I did differently.
I'm having some trouble with some of my users going offline. Not sure if it's all due to the same reason but here are some screenshots for one of them. Any suggestions?
