Hi guys I have a question about OwnTracks. Will the monitoring mode "significant changes", work just as well as "Move" but without the heavy battery usage?
What monitoring mode do you guys use?
Yes. I think with significant changes, which is default, you need to move 164 ft or something like that for it to see movement. But the short answer is yes. I use significant changes across all my family's devices.

"Significant changes" works well. It's probably the wrong thread to ask, though.
Currently only keeping it as I'm grandfathered in at £21.99 per year otherwise it would have been cancelled

@jpage4500 A HUGE thank you for creating this and maintaining it. Your excellent work filled the presence gap and got me and others through the year.
I have finally moved over to OwnTracks and deleted all Life360 related apps, devices, and drivers. Though I haven't quite gotten it all working exactly the same, using Combined Presence and a combination of HomeKit, OwnTracks, and WiFi Presence is getting the job done for now. Enough to delete all Life360 accounts, and delete the app on all phones.
Ditto. I whinged and got a standard copy/paste response.
They don't give a ■■■■. Time to move on.
MyQ , Haier, now Life360, I am seeing a pattern here.
they all want their own apps so they can make money off of them.
It seems that the Smarthome revelotion working with things that WE buy or pay for, is a thing of the past. everything will be a subscription and another app on the phone so they can sell you more crap.
Thanks! I haven't moved away just yet but only because I wasn't using it for Hubitat presence so if it stops it's not going to break anything for me. I'd like to switch to OT but I need to convince my wife who uses it to monitor our 2 kids so it'll need to work and look similar which I'm not sure if it's there yet.. but it's nice to see so much being done in the OT app so I bet it'll get there.
Anyway, I'll update this thread to make it clear that it's broken right now (oddly it's still running fine for me but I imagine that won't last long either)

Ironically I just switched out my hub with a new C8 Pro. In doing so I had to log into Life360 and it was then I realized it did not work. It was working fine up until this point.

Yup, thanks a lot for your work on this integration @jpage4500. Mine stopped working this week too, so I'm no longer in the running for last man standing.
I may or may not still be in the running. If I go to the Life360+ app it says "Error logging into Life360!" and in the log I see
However, the Life360+ presence objects are still getting updated normally, as recently as 30 minutes ago.
Is it correct to say it will be all fun and games until some cookie or token or some such expires and I'll not be able to get another one?
I think it’s all fun and games until you have to update or tweak or change something in the Hubitat Life360+ app. Like changing phones.

Will be interesting to see who will be the last person standing. What’s the prize other than the highest count of the restless nights wondering when it will finally just permanently break?!?
I lasted until AL 87 (After Life360), based on Nov 2 as the first reported breakage in this thread!! Today is AL 89. “May the odds be ever in your favor!” 
Completely agree. I depend on the presence to put the house to sleep when no one is home, and even putting sections of the house to sleep when only certain people are home. I am experimenting with geofencey now. If this does ever come back I will just use it as part of my combined presence.
That is how I believe it to work.
Rather than wait for mine to expire, I deleted it to see if it would obtain a new one. No such luck.
I was ready to abandon ship anyhow so I was fine with killing mine for the sake of knowing the ice berg was there. The unknown for me is how long the token is good for. Obviously, for those who remained up and running, it's quite a long time.

Personally, I'm using Combined Presence to combine OwnTracks, Geofency, iPhone WiFi, and HE iPhone app. Then I base my hello/goodbye routines on the vPresence devices and it is working well - if "any" arrive the vPresence device arrives and if any except WiFi depart the vPresence device departs.
We are all iPhone so is there any advantage to using owntracks vs Geofency?
I'm not too familiar with Geofenced since I use Android myself. However, OwnTracks for Hubitat Presence Detection is a versatile option that works seamlessly on both platforms. My suggestion would be to explore the features of both and choose the one that best suits your needs. The key being what offers the most features with Hubitat.
