Hi,
I would like a validation here.
Track info are not working for me but only in Spotify. I tried Amazon Music, Iheart and TuneIn and everything is working great. In Spotify, track infos are all NA and the echo status swtich to stopped, even if the echo is playing. Track data are all ok within the Echo App..

Image is with Amazon Music playing on the left and Spotify playing on the right.

Is anyone else experiencing the same behavior?

Thanks!

echo speaks suddenly going in endless loop in logs since last fw update
had to comment out the lines

Not seeing that here.

Not here.

is logging set high on the app?

yes obviously it. was only one one of my hubs. but the point is when it gets in that mode it was in an endless loop so needs to be looked at!

not working anylonger in nh.. just got back home . i can play via the test command or the send message on the device panel but through the hubitat notifications nothing plays and it looks like it is not getting passed to the child devices.. i turn on all logging and all i get is this..

This is the same thing I was seeing a few weeks ago.

Rechecked my echo speaks log and it’s still happening :man_shrugging:.

i did get it working again... i had to comment out those lines now on both of my hubs to and reinitialze to stop it..
ie

this now on the second hub i use echo speaks.. so i think the issue is if you make any changes and select done.. unless you comment out those lines it goes in an endless loop..

as for the other issue why nothing was playing.. i think it is not liking some devices disabled.

this is not helpful - just offering it as a confirmation - but I had previously forked this Git due to the hardcode of the version - then I handled the versioning separately. I did have it working except there is a reference to the original source I never located and I would get the error in Zones. but only in zones.

it may not be helpfull to you but it is to me and others as otherwis4e when init. is run the app goes in an endless loop.. test it.

We really need to break free of Alexa and AWS.

Is local AI and voice control working on Home Assistant?

HA does support local AI and voice solutions. For example, it includes Whisper, an OpenAI model. However, larger Whisper models or LLMs like Llama require a fairly powerful machine with an NVIDIA GPU. In my opinion, it’s not worth the effort yet, but the technology is evolving quickly, and that could change soon.

Yup!

I read all about it on X.

I guess Elon didn't use AWS.

Can Zones be used to play spotify in a group? Trying to isolate my kids speakers for a wakeup alarm. I can't seem to get it to work. All the spotify actions disappear when I slect a zone instead of individual players

Zones work for me in Webcore. I have not tried RM.

They don't work for Spotify. Even the device in the device view is missing the Search Spotify

and other music services like the individual speakers have. Is it supposed to work?

I just tested this. I created a zone "TEST Zone" with 2 of my Echo devices. I did not see the typical "Search Amazon Music" or "Search Spotify" as options within the virtual device "TEST Zone." However, I did do "Voice Cmd As Text" with the string "Search Amazon Christmas Hits" and the zone did start playing Christmas music. I do not have a Spotify account. But I put in "Search Spotify" and the zone said that I need to make a Spotify account. So that may be a starting point for you.
