Is there an updated version of your driver I can try?
I’m stuck on the new FW due to getting replacement sensors from Aqara, and despite my best efforts, their Support won’t provide me with the older FW so I can roll back.

Just an update for the curious - I’ve been testing Dan’s current Dev driver with the 0.0.0_6542 Zigbee firmware and the motion sensors stop reporting after ~44 hours.
Weirdly, the environmental sensors still keep reporting with no issues - Aqara have really done a number on this FW version! ![]()
Bizarrely, the motion sensors appear to have come back online after going on holiday for ~4.5 hours, and I just got my 2nd FP300 Sensor today and installed it in my Study - so now I’ll have 2 data points.
Minor update: my Kitchen FP300 is still working normally and I sent the logs showing the 4.5 hour gap to Aqara support, who until recently had been pretty useless, but finally agreed that was worth sharing with their Devs.
After some of the interactions I had seen on their forum, I am surprised (and happy) to hear that they are considering the third party integration over zigbee as something they might support (even if it is only reading the logs).
Just between you me and the fence post, I let Aqara support think this testing was on Home Assistant. ![]()
Most of the comments I have seen from support regarding HA was that they do not provide support for usage that doesn't involve their hub - use at your own risk. So, even if they think it is HA, I am impressed you got them to listen.
Did I read previously in this or the other thread that the issue could be mitigated by using their hub and connecting over homekit?
Apparently some folk have it working over Matter and paired to an Aqara hub. I don’t want another hub and am being stubborn. ![]()
PS, they do claim to support HA.
I have it working over Matter paired to Hubitat (after being commissioned with a non-Aqara TBR I already had, so you don’t technically need their hub).
I’d almost prefer Zigbee for more features, but this discussion is discouraging me from trying that much more, so thanks to everyone for the warning… ![]()
I had heard you could pair it Zigbee to their hub, and via matter through homekit. I thought that might get you the best of both.
But, I have the C7, so would have to use home assistant (and I don't think these are supported by HADB.... could be wrong on that..... plus... more delays that way)
Suspect they must be clumsily referencing the Aqara hub acting as a Matter bridge for Aqara Zigbee devices
That was more of a rhetorical question, but yeah, I think you are right. I believe they intend you to connect to their hub over zigbee, and use the matter connection to connect it to other systems.
But Hubitat uses ZHA doesn't it? That is differrent than Z2M (at least that is what I am gathering from the HA community). Or, does hubitat need to update their 2MQTT version like they are doing in the HA Core?
Yes you are right, it is. I don’t know much else.
Status Update:
Based on the recent success @kkossev has reported over in his Aqara multisensor thread, and a little support and nudging from @dJOS, I have started testing an updated version of my dedicated FP300 driver. Hopefully this will resolve the issue with the new FP300 firmware. I will report back in a few days to keep you all up to date with how the testing is going.
Thank you for your patience.
When an IT Ops guy who can barely write scripts get’s himself a Claude Sub, it can be dangerous!
But I’m only too happy to help you @ogiewon and @kkossev out with testing etc as your efforts broadly for the community make my Home Automation system truly useful.
Derek, everything from Australia is dangerous - you’re no exception ![]()
(just kidding mate!)
