[RELEASE] Auto Lock

I unchecked lock with modes and am still in the same boat.

I get that same error on same line from time to time seems to still work though.

Funny thing it will show Unlocked but not Locked

yeah same thing here might be something to do with the lock I'm using zwave yale so its S0 security maybe some packet loss

Hmm maybe a race condition, or mesh issue. Really all that line is doing is counting the number of retries.

I don't think it's mesh I thinks it's S0

Im SO as well

my locks respond really well but I think some S0 packets get lost when updating lock status from time to time

In the logs what was the method right before the retry is called?

This definitely happens. A beaming repeater even if it's close to the hub will hold and send when the lock can take packets. A beaming repeater can be any mains powered zwave plus device.

hey you really are FBI repeater right over the hub. I can't wait for yale to release their new module

Just go with the zigbee module. I have had 0 issues with the Yale 256 SL.

Great advice, I think I'll do that since my zigbee mesh is strong now

For locks, zigbee just works better overall... It's faster and responds better.

I finding out that zigbee seems better for everything... added like 20 repeaters to my zigbee the other day not one problem and they are all really fast. Those motions sensors you suggested don't even use the repeaters crazy range.

Yea, I use zigbee for locks, motion sensors, and outlets. I think everything else is zwave. I try to keep it fairly balanced to keep one radio from getting overworked. All the switches zwave and outlets zigbee gives me good coverage to every room.

Using my C5 for zigbee c7 for zwave. C5 zigbee has been bulletproof since day 1. I have hue outdoor motion sensors picking up repeaters at the other end of my property with my house in the middle lol. If I had to do it all over again I'd pass on zwave. I think Inovelli is going to make some zigbee switches can't wait.

Zigbee is good when it's not heavily loaded but as you add more and more devices you start to see problems at some point. Usually most evident when you are light on repeaters.

@eric22 Back on topic lets see if I can't track down the retry count issue... Could you post a screenshot of the logs including the events before and after that error with debug logging enabled?

ok will do... get back with it tomorrow.
