As I've been getting things started (including moving and swapping sensors a lot) I've found that making rules based on averages (either Average All or Averaging Plus) and motion control zones has allowed me to move and swap out sensors in a much more seamless way. If 15 rules rely on single temp, lux, or motion activity, you'll only need to change them in 1-2 places (the average or the motion zone) rather than each sensor.
