Qolsys security panel with Hubitat

Not sure if this belongs in this category or somewhere else....

I'm considering an upgrade to my security system, going to a Qolsys panel. This panel has z-wave controller capability, so could directly control z-wave devices. On the other hand...

Can this panel act as an interface device for the Hubitat Elevation? For my setup, which is mostly lights and motion sensors, could I use this panel to tell Hubitat to control lights, groups, and/or scenes?

Thanks!

Possibly/sort of? You’re asking if the Qolsys panel can be treated by hubitat as a secondary z-wave controller, which is essentially the same question asked in this thread:

Hi, I have a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. And would like to know if some kind of integration with Hubitat is possible. Just as a clarification, I'm not looking to use Qolsys as a automation secondary but just as a device that can be controlled from the Hubitat for things such as deactivate or activate (arm or disarm ) receive alerts from Qolsys and take some action from the event with Hubitat automation.

Thanks!

At this point, I think we're in the same boat. I think the integration is possible, but so far seems to be limited to a proprietary few automation hubs (Amazon's and --I think-- Google's), and even that isn't very clear.

Nobody wants to share their secret sauce.

You have to get an older IQ2 plus in order for it to learn in as secondary. Qolsys decided to be a primary only hub...

I got an IQ2 to for free with my work, and I've been looking for a hub that could learn in as secondary. Hoping C7 will work, but for some reason I get it to learn in. ST worked fine, but made a lousy secondary once learned in.
