Can the Lyric Alarm Controller successfully be linked as a secondary hub?
After multiple tries I successfully connected the Lyric, however, most devices didn't transfer to the lyric. 2 of my locks show up, however, they are not controllable from the alarm panel. 1 of my 2 thermostats shows up, etc.
Quite right. It's not officially supported so it probably won't get additional devices when they are added or any of the other controller specific things Z-Wave might do.
However, when I join a secondary Z-Wave stick controller to Hubitat through PC Controller it typically gets a full list of devices if it completes the inclusion process. I wonder if the inclusion process just didn't complete all of the way. Depending on how many devices you have it can take quite a while to shift the entire device list.
I think you might give including it another try from a closer distance if possible, especially since you said that you tried and failed the first couple of times.
True. Same with z-wave toolbox. And I have noticed with PC Controller that if my laptop wasn't in close proximity to HE, the entire device list was not transferred over.
Good point about giving it a chance to transfer fully. I try again and let it sit overnight next to hubitat and see if itโs any better. Maybe everything didnโt transfer fully.
It takes roughly 30 seconds to transfer 60+ devices when I pair my Aeon Z-Stick to any of the 5 ZWave networks in my house.
That transfer is the only transfer that will occur automatically. If you add devices to the Network, the secondary will not know of them. If the purpose is to have a repeater, then there's no problem because it will repeat anything with the correct network number.
Attempted this a few more times. Each time one of my thermostats transferred over and locks would show up, however, were unusable on the lyric controller.
All my switches seem were viewable on the lyric and responded quickly.
