Q: Power port's USB data lines... accessible or inoperable?

In the vain of this earlier convo, but for different reasons, I'm curious to know whether;

(a) are the C-7's micro USB port's data lines connected to anything internally?
(b) if so, is there on-board logic related to them (e.g. for diagnostic purposes)?

Something tells me they are not in use at all, but didn't see this come up before.

They must be, because it is possible to use a USB WiFi adapter with the C-7, along with a suitable splitter cable.

If there is, it is undisclosed.
