Optional Z-Wave Firmware update 7.23.4 for C-8 and C-8 PRO

Still TBD

But i do think this was bc of me ....

what does this mean for us poor blokes that already updated the zwave fw. luckily for me working fine in both my c8 pros?

Nothing.. You get to enjoy the update..

If you were affected your z-wave would be not functional..

You were the second one.. First one could have been a fluke or underlying undiagnosed hardware problem.. 2 or more is a trend..

Abundance of caution is a nice thing to see...thank you, Bryan for being careful.

This type of attitude and approach is what to me makes Hubitat second to none. To second @danabw sentiment, thank you.

**** UPDATE ****

Z-Wave Firmware version 7.23.4 has been removed from the 2.4.4 release. Thank you for your patience while we continue to investigate the reported issues.

Will you update the SDK for other than US too? I using a C8 (and C7), am in EMEA and it is still at 7.18.

Where do you see this at?

I installed https://community.hubitat.com/t/release-hub-information-driver/67198 v3 from HPM but all I am seeing is this and all my devices are Z-wave.

Make sure you set "ZWave Version" to poll - it doesn't look like you have any polling set up yet.

Hub Info Driver is not just plug-&-play -- you need to set up how it all works (so it best meets your own reporting needs).

I figured it out. I didn't hit the refresh button. I was assuming going out and back in would do a refresh like it does in a different app.

Thank you for your reply.

Is it safe to say if you already upgraded to 7.23.4 you are OK? In other words problems are on the initial setup and if you got past that then you are fine?

Yes

I should have said this yesterday but got all caught up licking my wounds.

Thank you to @bobbyD and @bcopeland for the immediate support yesterday. I know it was in your best interest as well to prevent an even larger impact to more users but I don’t know of any other company that would have jumped on this so quickly on a Friday afternoon.

Again. Thank you.

I held off on upgrading past the initial 2.4.4 release because I fully intended to update the zwave firmware. So today when I got home from a work trip I updated the z-wave firmware to 7.23.4 and all went fine on my C-8 Pro. Then updated to 2.4.4.132. All good here.

I am still on 7.18 and just upgraded to ZWaveJS. Is this going to cause me problems, given that I cannot even update to 7.22.x ?

So what previous version allowed this? - Some V2.4.3.xxx?

Builds of 2.4.4 before 128 (or maybe 126).

Which AFAIK, its not possible to rollback to previous minor versions, just all yhe way back to 2.4.3...

I have that correct?

Yes. Unless the minor version is stored on the hub (which is not possible for the situation described in this thread) (had my threads mixed up)

The initial public releases had it still available. (2.4.4.130 is what I was on when I updated my Zwave radio firmware)

Depends. If you upgraded to 2.4.4.130 and then upgraded again to 2.4.4.132 which removed the firmware update, then you could in theory use the Diagnostic Tool to revert back to 2.4.4.130 and install it. If you never installed that version (or another with the firmware update available) then you are SOL until Hubitat decides to make it available again in a newer platform release.
