OK, you guys were right, Pushover is kinda cool

OK, so I couldn’t help myself - I had to keep playing - and have managed to modify the community driver to include another set of “escape” characters which when wrapped around an image URL, will push that image to pushover. I combined the community driver and code posted by @Younes on here. I’ll test it over the next couple days, then clean it up and add credits in where due, and I will be happy to share.

More tinkering… Combined with the Toyota driver/server I set up, I can ask Siri to “find my car”, at which point my hazards flash for a minute and I get a pushover notification including a Google maps iOS URL scheme link that when clicked automatically starts walking directions to the coordinates provided by Toyota. I’ll post screenshots of the walking directions when/where privacy is not an issue.

Will you be doing a pull request on the community driver or keeping your version separate?

TBH, I don’t even remember my GitHub login info - it’s been probably 15 years. I’m happy to share the code back to @ogiewon (or others) if they want to update… or maybe I’ll figure out how to log back in and do a PR. Regrettably, I write dirty/quick/lazy code to deal with my need for instant gratification; then it takes me forever to clean it up.

LOL I think any of us who have ever done even a tiny bit of programming scripting etc. have been there and done that.

I think @ogiewon still owns the community driver? If so maybe he can opine about integrating your stuff.

Sure, you can send your code to me once you have it cleaned up to your satisfaction. Also let me know what instructions end users would need I order to understand the changes. I will include those in the first post of my thread.

Sounds like we're all agreed that we can call it my code. If there are any residuals or other income streams connected with this code I will be more than willing to receive them.
