Not as straightforward as I thought. I was thinking that the print job would have some direct information about the current filament, but it doesn't. Instead, the driver would have to look at the external spool/AMS information independently to determine which filament is in use.
It's certainly do-able, but not without some testing that I'm not going to be able to do. I didn't have an AMS when I was writing this nor did I think of the use-case of wanting filament information so there's nothing in the current code base to capture that information.
