installed new app on an iPhone 15 newest IOS each time I log in it crashes.
Tried uninstalling shutting off and on phone same result. Old version of app is uninstalled.
Sorry for the troubles. This is a known issue that was fixed and update is available in the beta. If you'd like to sign up for TestFlight beta releases, check out this post: [BETA RELEASE] New Hubitat Mobile App available in TestFlight for iOS - version 2.0.0
Is there a timeline to release a stable app version that has the fix? I really don’t want to deal with a beta version just to get an app that opens.
I downloaded the beta and have the same crashing issue after I select my hub. Submitted a feedback and emailed my crash report.
Thank you!
Same here. I've deleted and reinstalled the latest beta and still crashes immediately upon opening. I've submitted a few crash reports.
Thanks for your feedbacks. We are reviewing the crashes reported since we can't replicate the problem. You can expect a fix in the next release.
Still same issue in 2.0.3
I came here to say that this is still happening to me, even with 2.0.2. I would be happy to be a guinea pig to provide debugging information if that is useful.
New Hubitat user here and the app crashes immediately after logging in and selecting the hub. Not an auspicious start! If this doesn’t get fixed quickly, I’ll have to go elsewhere as the new house is waiting to be automated. Have there been any updates from Hubitat on this issue?
Turns out the problem was a "+" in my username. All fixed now by switching to a different Admin user.
This worked for me. Thanks for digging into this.
I’m new to Hubitat, got both apps. The older one opens but the newer one at version 2.0.3 just crashes immediately.
iPhone 12 mini here on iOS 17.6.1
For what it’s worth my username also has a + in it. I usually sign up for services with an email in the format “myemail+servicename@domain.com”, which the Hubitat website allowed me to do. So… apparently this app just isn’t expecting the username to contain certain characters that should be allowed?
Doing the lord's work here! This has been driving me crazy. Thanks for identifying this. Hopefully the app will have a fix for this for other users.
Thank you! This is true for me, too. This never would have occurred to me, as it is a valid email address. Deregistering the hub and registering it on a new account worked for me. The silence about this has been deafening, and I'm still considering alternatives, but it is less urgent.
The last 2 versions in Testflight fix the plus in the email address issue in most places.
App is very usable now. I still get a crash when trying to access Hubitat (Local) from the Home page. Everything else I've tried works.
