My seemingly never ending quest for a universal AV remote

You can assign commands to any of the keys, so as an example, you could set the « Red » button to 1, the « Green » to 2, etc. Or you could change the password to 1 1 1 1, and then just use the same button that you programmed to be « 1 ».

Interesting... Can you assign a sequence of numbers to a button on the remote? Like "1 2 3 4" instead of just "1"?

Yup!

If you edit an activity in the SofaBaton app, and then tap the “assign commands for remote keys” button, you should be able to create a “macro key” assignment, which will allow you to build out a series of commands.

Cool :sunglasses: Thanks all

It's only the PIN entry that's used quite frequently for me so either using a macro or assigning a single button/using a 1,1,1,1 PIN would both work well. On the rare occasion I need to use numbers, original remotes are never far away. Come to think of it , I've become accustomed to using the Virgin TV360 remote, as the voice commands for channel, show, actor, skip forward/backward are extremely convenient and reliable. It's likely we'll still be using two remotes.

Ya, sorry for wasting your time on my confusion. While I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, I can easily see others making the jump to think it was more like a Harmony Hub app.

At some point, I'll probably come back and implement it to signal back to Hubitat. I just don't have those cycles right now.
