Multirelay Zooz 4 Unit: 5-Year Uptime, Scheduling Logic still works but UI (Dashboard Button) Inputs Are No Longer Functional

I have a Multirelay zooz. My water heater is turning on and off on relay 1. This system worked flawlessly for over 5 years. About 6 months ago, I started having trouble using the old-style dashboards to turn the water heater on and off. The C8 pro did turn the water heater on and off every day using Simple Rules, but you could not use a dashboard switch to turn it on or off. Something else that is strange is that the dashboards do show if the water heater is on or not. So you know the buttons are hooked up correctly. I can manually turn the Multirelay relay one on and off by going into the device's menu, Relay 1, and manipulating it there. I became convinced that the C8 Pro must have a problem, so I bought a new one. Installed it and everything worked from Simple Rules and the dashboards. Today, my wife needed the water heater on, so I pulled up the dashboard and clicked on the button that worked 5 days ago. Nothing. I could go to the devices and turn it on there, but what is up with this? How can I turn it on in devices and with simple rules, but the dashboard buttons do not work? Please help

Please provide your hub model (C7, C8, etc.) and its platform version from Settings>Hub Details.

I have no idea if this could help, but do you have ZWJS enabled?

I do not. When I click the switch to ZwaveJS button, it says that to turn it on, the unit needs to reboot. Im using US-LR 908.4 Mhz, 916 Mhz band.

I turned it on to see if that would correct it but it did not. I left it on. I did build a new menu with the ez dashboard. It created the switch and sends it on, but it does not work there either. Thank you for trying to help can you think of anything else I might be missing?

For giggles do a reboot with a database rebuild

Could you create a virtual on/off switch and then write a simple rule when the virtual switch is on turn on the high current relay? Not a fix but would maybe shed some insights on if this linkage is solid why is the dashboard amiss.

Holy crap the Ez menu button started working. The older designed dashboards do not work but the new one does. Thank you for showing me a new trick. Isnt that crazy.

Great minds think alike. I feel sure that will work, the problem is the engineer or the 4-year-old in me is jumping up and down saying, "It should just work". Thank you so much for the reply and idea.
