After many years with SmartThings I've finally thrown in the towel. All I did was updated the Country on my Samsung Account and my SmartThings Account to reflect my actual location. Somehow when I installed SmartThings originally years ago either it defaulted me to Canada or I somehow chose it. Updating this to the USA on my profile killed SmartThings. I get a message on the app that says I have changed my Country code and SmartThings will not work on any device until the update is complete. That was over a month ago. So I have no access to my SmartThings account.
I have Samsung appliances like the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator with the large tablet screen on it. I'd love to be able to connect back to it again. It has a lot of interesting features. Is there a utility to move devices from one service to another?
Other things I cannot figure out how to get transferred over:
Honeywell T6 Pro Thermostat (Wi-fi)
August Wi-Fi lock
Hue Lights (some bulbs transferred and some don't)
I also use Google Home and Amazon Echo devices.
I did do a search but most were a few years old.
Another thing is the Geofencing feature is not showing my true location. It is miles off. The map on my phone is completely accurate. How do I fix this also.
You've made the right choice to Migrate to HE
Welcome to the Hubitat community.
For things like the T6, you likely need a community based driver. If it is cloud based, like this T6, often times it isn't natively supported in Hubitat built-in drivers.
There appear to be a few versions of drivers for that device. This thread [RELEASE] Beta 1 - version of Honeywell Home Thermostats (Lyric etc...) is probably a good place to start reading. I don't have one of these, so I don't know which of the drivers works best but it seems like the Window Washer code is popular in that thread.
Maybe a more generic question would be are you having trouble installing community based drivers and apps, and/or are you having issues configuring things?
Those should be fairly straightforward if you follow the documentation.
Have you tried these steps?
Thank you for the replies.
Good information here. Looking forward to learning more as I continue to migrate.
