When I first started working on smart home gadgets I didn’t think I would do that much, therefore I used an Amazon Echo Plus as my hub. As a result, I have a wide range of devices, but the only requirement (then) was that it “work with Alexa“.
Devices include: A bunch of Jasco/GE Zigbee switches, Sengled (with hub and without), Phillips hue, Rainbird, Logitech Harmony. There are also a handful of Wi-Fi devices that utilize the Magic Home and Smart Life apps for plugs and garage door opener.
Once you have the Hubitat installed, how to begin the migration from the Echo Plus. We still want voice control through the various Echo devices throughout the house. Do we need to unpair the individual devices from Echo, add them to Hubitat, and then re-add them to Echo via the app for voice control?
Also, what about the Wi-Fi plugs. Can these remain on the Echo Plus till suitable replacements can be found and integrated? In the way, existing commands remain the same for the end user (ie others in the household). We would have two hubs in the scenario. Thanks in advance, I've read all the other migration threads but didn't see one for moving from Echo Plus as a hub.
