Mailbox monitor with ZSE41 in progress

I just ordered a ZSE41 with the intention of using it as a mailbox monitor. Comments welcome.

If you have a metal mailbox and this is placed inside the mailbox, you may get interference with the signals.

I ended up with using a plastic junction box to hold the contact sensor (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TYNYW1S/). It was just about the right size. Let's hope this solution lasts through the Texas summer! [IMG_7679]

I plan on putting the Z-Wave part on the open-down part of the door so, hopefully, it will be outside of the metal box to transmit. Otherwise, I will need to try another approach.

Amazon says it's coming today so we will see.
