Looking for updated Mini split advice

Anything new 2025 market for dual mini split zwave integrations? I thinking Aidoo airzone module for the Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-HM36NA (M-Series). Anyone have this setup? How is it working? Does it play nice with HE? Any information would help or any other recommendations? Don't want to go the RF blaster route?

I'd offer up my drivers, but depending on where you are, that could be problematic...

New York. Are you saying it won't work without a custom driver?

Shame.... Best go down the Z-x route, or something similar....

No, not necessarily, just that I had developed a driver that worked with Mitsubishi's Kumo cloud platform in the States, but that (Kumo) got swapped out by Mitsubishi for a new setup that became harder to reverse engineer. I need to check back on efforts by other home automation platforms in trying to use their new cloud platform, but I wouldn't want to suggest you rely on my ability to get anything setup anytime soon (or at all).

EDIT.... Hmmm.... Maybe....

(I know, this had been pointed out to me before, but I had forgotten about it  )

But am I able to add the Aidoo device to HE and it will look like a regular zwave thermostat

Which Aidoo device are you referring to? As far as I know, Aidoo does not make a z-wave interface to a Mitsubishi mini-split.

I thought the AZAI6ZWUMEL?

Haven't seen that before. Yeah - that should pair as a z-wave thermostat to Hubitat.

Curious.. You ever get this working? Eyeballing it for the mini split I just had installed. Mitsubishi is far and away the best rated heat pump out there but my God their thermostats do suck... Frigging jumped through hoops to put the stupid things where it made sense only to find out later the dumb thing senses at the return handler not where I put the thermostat. Anyway... Hoping this air zone device and a couple zooz temp sensors can solve this stupid design.

What would be the easiest/best make of mini split to integrate with HE? Looking to install one in my detached garage, mostly to control humidity in the summer and possibly swing-season heating.

Local would be best, but i could accept cloud based if necessary. I also have an instance of HA i can throw in the mix if needed.

I'm having LG installed 3 ton 2 18k wall mounts. I will let you know when I get them installed.

Has anyone found the Zwave/Zigbee version of the Aidoo Airzone?

Bumping this old thread. I just this week had Mini Splits installed. I'm considering getting an Aidoo Z-Wave device (AZAI6ZWUMEL) for one of them. Totalhomesupply sells them in the US. I'm guessing that I might be able to get it to work out of the box with Hubitat for basic thermostat controls, but that it might be a fair bit more work to incorporate other features like louver/vane motion. Has anyone tried this and/or made any progress with it? (There's also a Zigbee option AZAI6ZBEMEL, but I can't find it for sale anywhere.)

I'm also considering the WiFi controller AZAI6WSPMEL. I'm guessing this will be more annoying to get working with Hubitat but maybe easier overall because of Aidoo Cloud options. But I'd really like to use my Hubitat!

The third option I'm considering is some sort of CN105 option like GitHub - tinwer-group/mahtanar: Hardware controller for CN105 connector on Mitsubishi heat pumps ยท GitHub , which seems to be the approach that the Home Assistant community prefers, or a Hubitat-specific thing like [RELEASE] Mitsubishi Heat Pump + MQTT Driver, but I think I want something that involves a little less soldering, is a little less likely to risk my warranty, and doesn't require a separate running device for an MQTT broker.

Any thoughts? Especially about the Z-Wave option?
