Ouch. What happened?

Not here. Later

I got a reply back from Alfred. Anyone with a DB2 that is having an issue simply needs to contact them and the z-wave module will be replaced free of charge.

[EDIT] there's also a OTA firmware update available. Definitely faster to download and update now with @bcopeland firmware updater.

This did the trick. I was able to add a new user and just confirmed the code. If i turn on encryption now (I honestly dont even think i need it) i should be fine, right? Or should i remove the user, then turn it on, then add a new one?

If you mean encryption on the device page, you should be just fine.

No, you can turn it on or off from LCM as you wish. No need to change the code or renter it

So i spoke to soon. I added 1 user, tested the lock, worked. I tried to add a 2nd user, setup failed saying it's a duplicate and has now deleted the 1st user i added which i cannot add back.

You can enter codes from the lock driver. If you try entering a second user (ensuring you change the slot number) from the driver, does that give an error?

Also, when you post error codes, look for the error in the log and then click the number to the left of it. That will isolate the logs to only that device.

You can also open a second tab, click โ€œclear logโ€ then do the action that gives the problem. Then click the number to ensure the log is isolated to that one device.

Easiest way for others to read the logs is a screen shot of just the log area with the device isolated. But if you need to posted copied log text, please use the preformed text option ( this symbol </>) in the post editor. Highlight the text in your post and then click that symbol. It encapsulates the text in your post so if itโ€™s really long, it can be scrolled through within a single post, instead of making the entire thread really long to scroll through.

do you happen to know what the latest firmware version should be?

i cant users anymore, everything was fine with the first user, when i attempted to add a 2nd user, now nothing works again in terms of LCM.

This is looking like you have one of the older zwave modules...
I would wait for the replacement module before trying to add more codes via Hubitat

Will you? That would be great.

e-mail has been sent. I've also asked for release notes to see what the changes actually are.

Ok so it worked, but then it didnt. How I can confirm if it's one of the older ones? is there a model # or something I can reference?

You can get this by replacing the existing driver with this one:

Then clicking the getVersion command, the result will be on the logs.
I'll do the same with the new firmware in a few minutes...

Am i just using this new driver to get the information or is this something we should use permanently and replace the Alfred driver in HE?
