Leviton Leviton VRi06-VLZ

I have a c-8 Pro and l’m trying to add a z-wave Leviton dimmer switch (Leviton VRi06-VLZ)
The exclude process with the C-8 pro is working but include is impossible, it’s looking for the device but never find it

I'm no expert, and I don't have any Leviton, but one time I had a similar problem. Factory resetting the device, if I recall, solved the problem.

Read my entire thread on this issue. You may never get it to pair. Your older z-wave device may not have the proper chip or firmware to communicate with the newer C8 chip. What is the problem with C8 Hub and adding Z-Wave Devices :slightly_frowning_face:

Well unfortunately l believe your write, even if it is in the list of compatible objects it is not possible to include it. I will return the C8 pro !

Thanks, l tried it many times without success. Exclude is working because of that but impossible to include!

Yes, it won’t pair. I bought another C8 (I will return one) just so I can rule out that I didn’t get a bad hub. Well I can’t pair the same devices with the 2nd C8 hub either. That confirms it for me. I will be making it more known that the problems are that some z-wave and even some Zigbee devices won’t pair. I don’t believe Hubitat will fix this because some of the complaints go back several years. I think the only solution is to buy new devices, find another work around, or don’t upgrade your Hub, if possible.

I still have two C5 hubs and they are like gold to me because ALL of my zwave and Zigbee devices pair just fine with the C5. Unfortunately this advice is buried in other threads.

I only replaced my C5 because it went dead.. The C8 is useful for long range capabilities and maybe increased speed and memory and that is still important to others.
