Hello - I recently had two of the DZ-15 z-wave wall switches decide to stop working. The remained in contact with the hub and would signal like they were working - just would not operate the lights. Problem is - this model of Z-wave switches are no longer available. I did purchase a Leviton Decora ZW15s-1RW that is a z-wave. It includes and appears in the app under devices but on the dashboard I only get a "?" on the tile and when trying to put in a simple control it does not appear in the pick list.
Any options? Switch to a non-Leviton z-wave?
Probably does not matter but it is a C5 hub on the latest firmware. And the switches are on what ever firmware they were on when installed (firmware updates in Hubitat are a task to accomplish).
The error comes up saying that this device is not yet supported by the app. Interesting in that this device is what Leviton says is the replacement to the old one which is supported.
The big “?” Is what comes up when adding to the dashboard - along with also appearing in the device list. And the old switch was excluded
I would suspect that the new device is using the wrong driver. It may have even chosen the generic "device" driver if it couldn't find a suitable driver that matched. That "device" driver doesn't allow control over any devices, it is a placeholder for the most part.
What is the driver (device type) listed in the settings for this device?
Also of interest on the device list on the device page, where all the other devices are listed as “generic Z – wave device”, this one only listed itself as “device”
Thats is the driver which was asked about. You need to set it to a driver yourself as the hub was not able to detect which one to use.
If you have updated to platform 2.4.0 you should be able to use the "Generic Z-wave DT Binary Switch" driver. Or you can also use my universal driver which was built using that switch and has some more features than the built in one: [DRIVER] Universal Z-Wave Drivers (Switch/Dimmer)
