I have eight buttons that need to look like dry contact sensors to HE. Is there a WIFI or ethernet board that can communicate the states of these buttons so that they look like devices to HE?
I experimented with a similar Tuya I/O board some time ago , unfortunately I found these devices to be very chatty…
konnected // nodemcu will do the job. Although you'd need 2. Rock solid IMO.
Yep, I have two as well. And they are rock solid.
Thanks guys! This is a big help. Headed for Amazon...
I got these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CNYJS6V7 Worked well. Had one that did not take the firmware so I ordered a 2nd set to replace the good one and returned the bad one with the rest. The USB C connector made it easy to power them with old USB power blocks.
djh_wolf provided good guidance to get me started.
One concern I had was putting unknown, "chinese" hardware on my primary wifi (most questionable devices go on my quest network). But these have to go on the same network as HE, unless I'm mistaken. Was less concerned since the Konnected drivers and firmware are all open source.
Selly has 2 versions of 4 inputs sensor module. One is for line voltage and a second one is low voltage. And of course, there is a HE driver for these sensors.
