Is it normal for a SONOFF Zigbee plugin outlet to report it is off every 5 minutes?

I have some SONOFF S31 Lite Zigbee Smart Plugs that report themselves as off every 5 minutes. Is that normal? I have them as Type "Generic Zigbee Switch" but it does the same thing if I have them as Type "Generic Zigbee Outlet".

I don't have the s12 but have the ZBR3 and it does the same which is just the device checkin. 5 minutes isn't normal but is what the sonoff devices do.

yeah, i verified that this is not configurable, meaning the 5 minute reporting interval for the on/off cluster cannot be changed...
This is one of the few devices I've run across where this can't be updated, which is a bit disappointing as it's not the least expensive outlet out there...

Thanks. What other devices do you suggest that work as well but are cheaper?
