Hub Camouflage

No reason for this, just felt like showing my project. The most central place in my house is not somewhere the wife wants to see smart home stuff. So a cheap project box from Hobby Lobby, couple cans of spray paint and some Velcro inside and we’re incognito.

Thanks man.

The Heidrick antennas won't fit.

Meh until someone finds an antenna that can reach 100 yards to my mailbox, no need for me lol.

Impressive, your WAF rating greatly exceeds mine, clearly. :+1:

I like the table, where'd you find it?

That's the cleanest setup I've seen in 20 years of messing around with home automation.

You have no idea, we've been trying to find a shelf unit to fit that spot for months. Just found it a week ago at HomeGoods, Which if you don't have is basically Big Lots for soccer moms with too much money.

LOL...they should put that catch-phrase on their weekly flyer. Well done!

Why stop with the hub? Go ahead and put a camera in that owl.

Nah, while I'm sure it could be done, I already subject my wife to me walking around the house in my drawers, I don't need to see it for myself.

Wow, what a great setup!

That owl needs to rotate as someone passes.

I might need a few of those boxes to fit my setup.... And probably a few more dogs and owls to stand guard.....

Just realized that there is no sign of any cables/power cords whatsoever. Are you running power/ethernet directly into the wall directly behind the box? Pics!!

Back left on the close-up, but yes, no sign of where they go....

I fear he's using the Dark Arts to hide them...
