I used HPM to install the weather underground driver. I looked at the community thread referenced, and also the driver source code, but could not find any instructions on setting it up. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Create a virtual device and use the wunderground driver. After saving go to the properties and fill out necessary fields...
@dJOS may also be able to assist, if I have the right driver.... It is also customary to post on the topic for the driver, not that there is anything particularly wrong in creating a new topic, but it keeps the questions together in the one place and notifies the developer automatically when you post on the original topic.
This is the way.
I installed the virtual device then found this out when searching for the API key. I created a Weather Underground account, and when I try to get an API key it stays you must have a personal weather station. Any ideas?
You must have a PWS with data shared to Weather Underground to get an API key. Or you can purchase an API key.
ecowitt weatherstations are popular choices here and integrate directly with Hubitat.
As mentioned in my topic for the driver, this is a requirement. It’s IBM who own the service, it’s not me making this requirement.
Is there a free weather app/driver for Hubitat that does not require a weather station?
Yes, open weather. You do need to sign up for their API service and hand over credit card details in case you use more than the free allocation of API calls.
Wow, regardless of what number I use, or remove the hyphens, I just keep getting the "is invalid" message. My actual phone number is 215 area code. But now I live in the Knoxville area so I tried an area code and exchange and still does not work. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

No idea, I don’t provide support for the open weather integration.
I realized the problem when I completely deleted the phone number and saw this:

Good grief!
