How Do I Add A Smart Start Device In The iOS App? There's No Plus Sign!

I've tried that.
It doesn't give me the choice.
It's like Hubitat app didn't ask for permission.
I see @aaiyar also has Camera.

@velvetfoot , sorry for doubting, I check the version number in the app itself not in the iPhone settings, I just copied your screenshot and will report this bug in the appropriate section.

I had just installed, physically, the latest Aeotec HEM8 and was just going to SmartStart it, and then, boom, no "plus". Nothing's easy, lol. Except that light pipe mod.

Huh, that is weird, but I'm sure that's the source of this whole issue here - without access to your local network, it can't know if it's on it or not.

Maybe I and others were somehow grandfathered in on that, but the currently available app won't do it as a fresh install :person_shrugging:

But doesn't it actually have access to the local network?
If I kill cellular, and only have wifi running, it works just fine, as far as the dashboard goes.

Hey, how about deleting the app and reinstalling it, and see what happens.

What's interesting is that in the app store, when I go to reinstall it, it has a cloud with a down arrow, instead of "Get", whatever that means.

I don't think dashboard access matters either way, but maybe I'm wrong about Local Network -- I'm not an expert on any of that.

Found this.
Shouldn't have to do beta to smartstart.

Ah yep, here it is... hopefully they'll push this to production soon.

ok so basically this has just become more of an app thinking it's always on cloud in stead of the local network. This might have something to do with this bit of info in the Beta release build 387, "Fix on local network permission not prompted" and "Improvements on network issue detection"

Everything is beta before release. Naturally, you will eventually not have to do this.

For now, this is the only option if what else you've tried does not work. It is simply a bug some users experience in the current production release. If you have trouble after the new release (or decide to beta test before then), please share details in a new topic after you do.
