v1.2.0 is out — introducing Artemis™
Big update today. v1.2.0 ships the Artemis™ security module, which brings full HSM integration and Ring sensor support directly into Hestia.
What's new in Artemis
HSM integration
- Arm Home, Arm Away, and Disarm from the dashboard with PIN-gated access
- Bidirectional sync — arm from your Ring app, Alexa routine, or keypad and Hestia reflects it immediately via WebSocket
- PIN hashing with SHA-512 — your PIN is never stored in plain text
Ring and Hubitat-compatible sensors
- Doors, windows, motion detectors, smoke/CO alarms, water/freeze sensors, glass break sensors
- Auto-detected and auto-assigned to the correct category on load
Zone awareness
- Assign sensors to rooms in Settings → Artemis Security
- The sidebar merges security state directly into room entries — "Living room · 2 lights · 1 open" without navigating away
- Motion auto-clears after 30 seconds, mirroring Ring's inactivity window
Armed status indicators
- Topbar pill shows "Armed · Home" or "Armed · Away" on desktop and tablet
- Home tab shows the Artemis mode card above the device grid when armed
- Works on desktop, tablet, and mobile
HSM detection
- If you haven't configured HSM yet, Artemis still monitors your sensors and shows a clear prompt explaining how to unlock arm/disarm — no broken UI, no silent failure
Also in v1.2.0
- Zero-input new device setup — open the dashboard on any new tablet or phone and it loads your full config automatically, no wizard required
- False "Hub unreachable" banner fixed — it was firing on routine WebSocket reconnects, now only shows after 3 consecutive failed polls
- PIN dot display fixed on mobile — digits now light up correctly as you type
- Settings panel scroll and state preserved — reassigning a sensor type no longer jumps you back to the top of the panel
Updating
Open the Hestia app on your hub and click Fetch Latest Dashboard from GitHub, or it will auto-update at the next scheduled fetch (5am, 1pm, or 9pm).

Note for new users: Artemis requires Hubitat Safety Monitor for arm/disarm. Sensor monitoring works independently of HSM.
