I'm probably going to send these back and go with the osram zigbee lights. Quick turn on/off is preferred to the couple times a year we use the colors.
Was really hoping Govee would be the answer. I've had nearly 25 lumary cans fail, but tuya have local control, so each had their strengths.
Your v2 is working great with all my other govee stuff though, thanks again!
I feel like they could really do better with their bulb and can light devices. Mainly because of just what you said. I would really like a way to connect them like the wall sconces. The wiring would need to be allot more robust, but that would be the best option.
Thank you so much for the amazing integration! I am using this to integrate my Govee RGBIC TV backlights and love the functionality. It is wonderful being able to use an old Hue Dimmer Switch remote to control these! Unfortunately, I am running into an issue where I see an old snapshot in the state variables. I have tried refreshing, reloading scenes, etc., but the snapshots don't seem to update. Also of interest is that a new snapshot I created in the Govee app does not function in the Govee app and says "failed" when I try to load it. A previously created snapshot (also visible in HE via the integration) works fine in the Govee app and via your integration. Do you have any suggestions on what to try?
Unfortunately Snapshots, Scenes, DIY scenes load through different methods. Snapshots are generally provided in the may Govee get devices call. Currently the only place to get that is from within the Govee Integratin Smartapp. With that said the way to get the snapshot loaded in HE would be as follows.
Create the Snapshot in the Govee Home app
Open up the Govee Integration app and click on the option to "Standard devices Setup". Most likely that will be all that is needed to refresh the devices list and your snapshots. It will trigger a refresh as long as you haven't been on that page in the last 30 min.
Go into the devices and ask it to refresh its scenes.
If the snapshot still doesn't appear we will need to check the app data for variable "goveeAppAPI". That is where all the devices data is stored from the Govee API and the snapshot should be located in that array of data. Just need to do a search for the snapshot name. If it isn't there then Govee isn't passing it in the API and is a different issue.
As far as things not loading in the Govee app I would suggest you reach out to their support. That is outside of my scope.
I’m getting a little bit of a delay about 2 to 4 seconds , is there anything I can do to minimize the delay? Seems that it’s probably the worst when I run a random colors scene . So when motion is detected try turns Govee strip a random color. Would it speed things up a little bit if I just used one set color? Please don’t think I’m complaining cause I’m definitely not I enjoy the app .
If you are running into delays the first thing to do is try to switch to a local control option like the LAN API, or Matter. Since they don't include the cloud that may help reduce delays.
If that doesn't seem to help then it may be delays based on certain things in the hub. Let's start with the LAN API to see if that helps first. Hub based delays can be a pain to nail down.
Well crap. I just bought one of these too and was trying to integrate it. It was the only "smart" pool temp sensor I could find. Kept trying to find a zwave one.
This integration is one reason why I'm switching from Smartthings to Hubitat. It's allowing me to automate my Zigbee lights and Govee WiFi lights in one routine and is excellent.
I've never really dabbled in Dashboards, however, I am now and I'm coming up with a problem on my Govee lights.
I can only put them in as a Light tile. I can't put them in as a colour device. The tile shows an error face and when I try to use it, I get a message saying 'Missing Color' But, oddly, only in the so called Ezy Dashboard app. Works fine in the legacy app.
Has anyone come across this before and if so, has it been solved? I did an in topic search but it came up with zero results.
Govee v2 Thermo/Hygrometer Driver does not seem to be refreshing. The only way to get the temp to update is by hitting "refresh" I have some automations set to turn off a plug if the temp gets to hot and on if it gets to low.

If the polling rate is set to 300 then it will attempt to schedule it if you click on Initialize button. Please open the device page and then go to the "Scheduled Jobs" tab and see if there is a job scheduled.
Also please check your live logging to see if you are getting any errors. Specifically any Errors with code 429.
I followed those instructions and did an initialize. It now shows a scheduled job. It would show "pending" and run "once", I think it would grab the temp but then does not update any longer. It looks like it used to poll all the time prior to what I think was an update back on the 10th.
I haven't made changes to that for a while so let me see if i can figure out why that is happening. Can you check your live logging and see if any errors are occuring when the poll runs.
Something is certainly not right with that. When i download the driver and check that line of code it has nothing to do with that. Can you go into HPM and do a repair of the integration?
Also please check your HPM version it should be 1.9.3
