I am glad it is working for you. I didn't even known the Zooz RGBW controller actually supported scenes.
Honestly it is not something i am to excited to do. I can see why you may want it, but there are allot of ways to accomplish this without a child device. I think the big driver is to get support for it in RL, but i don't think this is the way to go about doing it.
Here are the potential ways to accomplish this same result
- Use a with a built in Virtual Switch device and RM. Simply have RM set the scene and then monitor the other attributes and turn off the switch if any of the other stuff changes.
- Use LightEffects tools to perform the function
- Or just automate with RM, or button controller instead or RL
The correct answer as i see it would be for Hubitat to fully support Light Effects in their Lighting tools. It is a standard capability as the info is shown below. If they would just recoginize devices that have this capaiblity and then allow a option to set the effect it would all be good. I can't speak as to why this hasn't been done already, or if it is even on their radar.
My suspicion is that devices that support LightEffects stuff are kind of the wild west and as such getting consistancty and to fallow a standard capability has been difficult. That said all of my drivers use the lighteffects capability if they support any kind of govee scenes and animations.
