So glad I found this thread. Thank you!

  1. I bought a new YALE 226 z-wave lock
  2. Join to Hubitat z-wave: lock s essentially nonfunctional.
  3. Drop from Hubitat-zwave and join to SmartThings z-wave: Lock works perfectly on Smartthings.
  4. Drop from SmartThings z-wave, REBOOT HUBITAT, join Hubitat z-wave: TADA! The lock works just as well on Hubitat as SmartThings.

And my other z-wave stuff started working more reliably too.
I'll wait for the patch but configure to reboot every night in the meantime,

Again, thank you.
Martin.

I applied before for the beta program and I was told that applications are not currently being accepted.

I applied on the web site last night and it looked like its accepted by application (or, at least, the site didn't report a problem / rejection).

Probably won't be too much feedback on it until the next beta is released ("imminently").

That's usually when they start going through the lists of hubs, etc, and add them.

-- Insert standard disclaimer on use of beta software --

As always though, remember that it is beta software. While it's usually pretty high quality, there have been multiple times when the beta releases broke things, sometimes very important things. They are always quickly fixed after discovery though.

So keep that in mind when using it on a production hub.

So I'm close to finishing our kitchen remodel and had 3 Inovelli Red switches installed yesterday. I've kept most of my Z-Wave devices on ST because of the reported issues with the C7. I only had 2 battery devices plus hardwired devices: 2 GE/Jasco non-plus dimmers, a single Inovelli Red, and the first of 3 Zooz ZEN31 (which is currently off).

I added the first Inovelli Red (Kitchen Pantry Dimmer) last week. It is one floor above the C7, nearly directly above it. It was working fine. Last night I added a 2nd Inovelli (Kitchen Sink) and it added fine. It is just 10 feet across the room from the Kitchen Pantry. I went to add a 3rd (Kitchen Table) which is just 6 feet away, but it wouldn't pair. At that point, when I looked at the Z-Wave settings, nearly everything was either NOT_RESPONDING or FAILED.

At that point I tried doing a few things. I did a Z-wave repair. When that didn't change things, I rebooted the hub. Nothing so far has helped.

I'm about to physically move the hub up to the kitchen to see if that helps. But I'll note the Cellar Dimmer (a non-plus GE dimmer) is only 5 feet from the C7 and it is NOT_RESPONDING.

Is this indicative of the C7 Z-Wave issues? I'm also about to contact support.

Device 0x16 is definitely an issue (often referred to as a ghost device). You need to try and remove that.

I believe that's from the 3rd Inovelli I tried to include (Kitchen Table), based upon the ordering. There seems to be no way to remove it that I can find (I tried for a while yesterday).

I've been cleaning the new kitchen getting prepared to move things back into it, so I've not yet done anything. I was going to move the hub into the kitchen and try doing a repair again.

Meanwhile, I see my hub is ready for the 2.2.4 beta. Given the Z-Wave changes there, I think I should do that before anything else.

Another reboot seems to have made at least some of my zwave devices functional. I haven’t tested them all yet, but the back porch light I mentioned earlier is now working as expected and kicking off automations. My wife’s Inovelli switch didn’t work on the first toggle but eventually started working. I was doing weekly reboots but have changed them to nightly to keep goings going until the next firmware. I’ll also take the advice here and get that Inovelli firmware updated when time permits.

Spoke too soon. I went ahead and removed the Inovelli switch from the mesh since I have to do that to upgrade firmware anyway. Let's see how it behaves now.

I have a few Innoveli switches and they work fine on 1.48 switch firmware in both 2.2.3148 and 2.2.4.129 beta.

I'd pickup a uzb stick for 19 bucks from mouser. It's well worth the investment.

I think , given lewis.heidrik's post above, it's fair to save 2.2.4 is now in beta testing and so moving forward to release shortly - hang on in there..

Good thing he isn't in Fight Club.

As we have gone back into lockdown in the UK from Thursday, I need this firmware update to play with.
No problems please beta testers.

I have knowledge that the first rule (literally) for the Adobe software prerelease program is that you can't tell people you're in the pre-release program.

And.....nothing zwave works. Right in time for our Halloween party too!

I’m done. Anyone want to buy a C7?

I would hang on a few days for 2.2.4 and make a decision then....

Don't make the assumption you'll be all good when you go back to ST. I too had a bit of a nightmare moving zwave devices to hubitat after everything being good on smartthings. When I moved them back I had similar issues. Turns out a couple of my older devices have basically gone bad during the migration.

I’m going to message support tomorrow and see if I can get the beta version. It can’t possibly be any worse than what’s happening now.
