On Settings>zwave Details I have the following ZWave device, no name, no type has this info. 001f (31) PER: 29, RTT Avg: ms, LWR RSSI: N/A
Neighbors: 13, Route Changes: 0 RefreshDiscover None. I was adding 10 new ZWave Smartwings shades. After adding 7 of them the 8th said "found initializing" and then timed out and said trouble initializing. Tried excluding it tried to add again and nothing. Can't add the last 3 shades they won't include and time out. I tried factory reset also. I saw a device described above and cannot delete it zwave repair never ends (ran it for 4 hours!) I only have maybe 20 devices in total on Hub 7. Up to date on updates. Questions: how do I remove the zwave device with no name on zwave details (no devices show up on devices page)? Could this create a problem adding the remaining shades?
A Z-Wave "Repair" isn't going to fix a node that isn't really on your network or never fully included. In general, this operation is rarely necessary on Z-Wave networks with Z-Wave Plus and newer devices and will fix (or expedeite fixing) specific problems that mostly related to routing.
You're going to need a "Remove," which may appear on its own eventually, or trying a "Refresh" may make it appear sooner. Basically the steps I recently outlined for someone else in this topic:
As for whether it will cause problems: it's good to avoid this if you can and not a guarantee of problems if you can't. So you won't know until if or when you have problems, but if they relate to Z-Wave specifically, this would be a good thing to look at then if you can't before. Patience is key, however, as it may look different in a day or two than it does now.
Are you using the new Z-Wave JS or the Legacy Z-Wave?
I switched to the new ZWJS and had 2 ghosts that would not removed. I switched back to legacy and, after a few refreshes & repairs, I got the option to remove them--and was, finally, able to get rid of them.
I didn't even have any luck with my USB stick on those two--they were extremely stubborn.
Unofficial guide: How To Remove Ghosts using hub tools or a UZB Stick
Yes sometimes it can create an issue adding more devices, FLIRS ghosts seem to be extra problematic for some reason. Anything battery powered you have to SEND commands to do something is usually FLIRS (locks and shades mostly).
I followed your direction , did a refresh zwave details and hit remove. It looked like it was doing things, but didn't remove it. Couldn't get the remove button back. I refreshed screen but now has a device name (switch Multilevel with bunch of numbers) and shows up on devices. Tried to remove from devices screen wouldn't do it. Rebooted Hub now it has route information on zwave details. HOWEVER I tried it on the shade and works ok so far. Just wanted to give info on progress.
