Ive not had much sucess with develco products in the past, but this one looks more "normal"...

hi , my Frient Air Quality sensor just arrived but AQI shows 0 in the last 30 min. Is it normal? anyone have experience with this device? temp and humidity data seems ok but air quality - the main purpose I bought this device for is 0.

Works fine. I've tested it with ashy smoke from a paper towel and it hit 4. There are 5 levels. 0 is best, Unless something really bad is going on it probably won't go up... I keep mine in the kitchen so occasionally it's 1 when cooking.

got a response from Frient, they say its probably the integration driver's issue that it shows sometimes 18 or even higher. Just now don't know how to use it as it doesn't seem to work on an 1-5 scale. Then what does it measure and how to interpret the numbers getting from AirQualityIndex?

Mine works on a 1-5 scale. I use the built in driver without issue.,... @mike.maxwell created the driver while working with frient themselves.

0-1 Good
1-2 Fair
2-3 Moderate
3-4 Unhealthy
4-5 Insalubrious

my current reading and it was as high as 18 a few days back. if I put it outside, or I open the window it goes down to 1 or 0 for a few minutes then climbs up. my place is not particularly polluted as its cleaned regularly and no rugs, etc.. so its interesting. how can I trust this device anymore ?
