Fingerprint for latest First Alert Combo

I just setup 3 new First Alert Smoke/CO detector combos on my father’s C-5 on platform version 2.3.9.160. The Generic Z-Wave Plus driver didn’t automatically get assigned (got “Device”). Here’s the device’s fingerprint:

@bcopeland, Any chance that fingerprint could be added for the “Generic Z-Wave Plus Smoke/CO Detector” driver?

Tagging @support_team in case someone other than Bryan is interested…

That's the fingerprint that has been in my custom driver since I released it.

Thanks @eric22!

@jtp10181, I hadn’t even looked for another driver. Will give it a go!

I use his custom drivers for my 10 First Alert smoke detectors and it works great! I highly recommend it and once installed, new additions default to that driver.

I presume you guys are discussing the First Alert Combo Zwave devices. What is your experience with the battery life on these?
I'm asking because I read elsewhere that they have extremely short battery life, which would be a royal pain...

I typically change the batteries once a year, sometimes shorter, which I think is pretty good... I last changed them in December and they are still going strong. Obviously I have logging disabled... Don't need it as they are looped into several safety rules... Jeff's drivers are initially set to debug logging, so make sure to change it... If you use his drivers.

The batteries seem to last about a year for me as well.

There was a thread in the past week or two discussing the First Alert battery reporting. Consensus seems to be that it will start to chirp after a year or so, when the battery reports about 80%.

Personal experience - I am getting just over a year using cheap alkalines (Kirkland, Rayovac, etc.).

10! Wow.
I've got one; in the garage.

Personal experience - I've had leaking Rayovacs destroy a Hue Motion sensor and an Intellitech leak sensor. Replacing them all is on my list of things to do, buy you know how that goes.
