Makes total sense and no problem. Here is sort of what I had possibly in mind, but as you said, I don't need the Thermostat driver to be updated to accomplish it, so I'm good to go:
Obviously the above rule is too simple to be implemented practically (no delays to reset the trigger, no timeline to go back to normal operation etc.), just wanted to keep it simple for testing.
