Eufy has release the e30/31 that supports matter. I'm still new to matter, but could this allow them to be brought into HE? I'd really like to see this, even if I have to use the HA bridge.

If you already have HA setup, you should be able to pair the Eufy lock via Matter. Then use HADB to bring the lock to Hubitat. This will be a 100% local connection.
Directly pairing Matter locks to HE is not available at the moment, hopefully Matter locks will be natively supported in HE in a future platform update.

I paired them initially with Eero. Then paired/added them to hubitat. I just haven't found a driver that works, but they are in my matter mesh.
I got it working. It was a headache originally and i dont know why. I started with a smartthings border router. Connected the lock, but then couldnt get it to share the connection with anything via matter. I then went out and purchased a new amazon border router. Unpaired with smart things and paired with amazon. Still couldnt get it to share. Just kept messing with it and a few days / restarts later tried again. This time i paired with amazon boreder router and then shared to home assistant via matter. I then used the hadb to bring it into hubitat. Works great. I did lose the connection at one point but it was after updating different things. Not sure why. I removed and readded them and all is well. I also shared it with hubitat via matter, but as you mentioned, there isnt a driver yet.
