Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus 40-Amp not working

I successfully added this switch but despite trying a bunch of different drivers I can't get it to work.

I'm not sure if I should use GE 40 Amp Smart Switch or GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Smart Switch however neither works.

The switch added with no problem.

These are the logs when trying to turn off and on, but nothing happened to the device.

You the generic z-wave switch (not plus) driver. After save click configure and see if the switch is controllable via the device page. There also may be signal issues hampering you (obviously I don't know the placement of your stuff)

Why not the Generic Z-Wave Plus Switch driver? That is the driver I use on my GE 40 amp Smart Switch and it works just fine.

I thought that one was the non plus switch...

Could be ...but the one I have, which I bought about 6 months ago is Z-wave plus....it has 0x5E in the inClusters.

That's definitely a plus then

I see supervision happening both the sending and response.. However if nothing is happening the device may not be handling it properly.. I suggest excluding and then re-including without security..

I have been using the GE Embrighten Z-Wave Smart Switch driver and mine has been working reliably for more than a year.

Thank you all for the fast responses! Turns out for some reason the first time it was added as a generic switch, and even when changing the driver it didn't work. After removing and readding it works with the GE driver!

This is my first venture with Hubitat so learning!

My next goal is to:

  • make it so when it's turned on, it turns off after a certain amount of time

  • add a few buttons for different amounts of time (what's the best to use for this?)

This was super easy with a basic rule

  • add a few buttons for different amounts of time (what's the best to use for this?)

Would love a rec on buttons or some other interface.

Also looking for a sauna thermometer / hydrometer that is "smart". Haven't found one that works at 200F+.

One method (maybe not the best :upside_down_face: ) would be to add Virtual Switches for each time period.
Install the community app Auto_Off and set up each switch accordingly.
