I am using the vue product to monitor energy in my home. It would be nice to include in the Hubitat world. Emporia also has smart plugs that would be nice to monitor and control.
There is this community integration:
Also installed the Emporia Vue 3 for three months and then replaced with an IoTaWatt. Like the IoTaWatt much better even at twice the price. i.e. it is open source, no cloud, etc.
Like the fact that the IoTaWatt has built in graphing so one can determine the cost or running a clothes dryer as an example.
Image of dryer power usage for the last 12 hours
Area of usage highlighted. Data lists dryer was used for a period of 2 hr 49 mins. Total power used for that time period is 7336 watts. If power is at 25 cents per kw then drying costs would be $1.83.
I was considering the Emporia also. I just looked on the IoTaWatt website and they are out of base units so that and their full kits are not currently available for the US.
It says they’re expecting more stock in December. Worth the wait IMO.
You can export that data to influx/grafana if you want it on a hubitat dashboard too.
