Hi, I'm just playing with Easy Dashboards at the moment. Does anyone know how you get tla thermostat to display properly. I just have a smiley face?
Are you using a built in driver or a 3rd party driver?
Hi, I'm using @cjcharles heatmiser driver which has been faultless. The tiles are fine in the old dashboards as below images show
Right. So if you click the thermostat button it will show the error (likely order of heat cool etc) The driver needs updated to work with EZ...
Ah, do you mean this message below? So is there no way of resolving this unless the driver is altered by @cjcharles?
Right that has to be corrected in the driver itself. There were a few of those including the built in generic driver that had to be fixed.
Thanks for helping. At least I now know where the problem lives. There's nothing I can do unfortunately so I live in the hope that the driver is updated. Appreciated
You could contact the author to try to update it...
Fingers crossed that @cjcharles will help out here. Appreciated in advance... Stu
This feels like an easy one to fix, I think I probably drew from some online examples originally and I expect those are the ones that also needed updating. Im also aware this driver has been pretty unloved recently! Will get those attributes added in the next couple of weeks.
Outstanding. We look forwards to your update. This driver is amazing and has transformed my house no end. Brilliant!
Its taken me a while to get onto this, but I think Ive made the changes that make those functions possible. I havent tested with Easydashboard, but would be interested in whether the behaviour is different for you now @stueyhughes
Hi Chris,
Firstly, thanks for your help on this. I've just added your revised code from git hub but the below message is displaying. Appreciated in advance...Stu
Line 883 doesn't exist, so I think you may have updated something incorrectly...
I'll feedback later. I'm doing this from my phone via remote admin so it might be throwing a wobbler
Cool no worries, just wanted to check I wasn't going mad! Should update via HPM aswell
Thanks Chris, so I've updated via HPM. (It wasn't there earlier today). But I'm still seeing the same effects. Do I need to do anything else with my current devices? Sorry for al of the questions but see my current tester dashboard.
If you press save preferences on the thermostat first does that help? If not I'll have another look
Unfortunately, this doesn't help either.
Ok, I think ive got it to accept the modes correctly now so should work with an HPM update now (but you may also need to press Save Preferences on the device first (I cant tell when the updated function runs))
