Not really an issue.
Originally device was named “Dinning room dimmer switch”
Then it got updated to
Switch Multilevel [d3902173001b00]
Just curious if this means anything,
Like why did it’s name changed?
Please provide your hub model (C7, C8, etc.) and its platform version from Settings>Hub Details.

Where do you see the name change? Are you looking at past logs? If so, this is likely just the name the device joined with initially. Past logs show the oldest name available until the old entire eventually get purged out on their own.
If somewhere else, more information about where you see this would be helpful.
This is a screenshot. It was previously “dinning room 2”
That's unusual, but if you had an unexpected loss of power to your hub, maybe it recovered to a previous database or something.
In any case, you can edit the name on the device detail page (under Devices on your hub, not in the app).
Thanks for the tip, will do
I have seen this when pairing Z-wave devices without SmartStart and I see the ZIP Gateway name message come up. The last device I paired and did not give a name got a name like this. @bcopeland
