Yes to that too.

There is a mod out there in one of the threads that will allow the sensor to be ready to report motion every 5 seconds instead of the default 60 seconds.
Have a search you may find it or can someone else point us in the right direction?

Just noticed this in his post, which I missed before. "This method is valid for both the original version of Xiaomi motion and the version of Aqara. In my case, I have modified 4 Xiaomi original versions and 4 Aqara versions and it works without any problems."
