  • What operating system are you using on your phone, i.e. iPhone or Android?
  • Do you know what version of the mobile app you are running?
  • What type of dashboard is it you are trying to load, an EZ Dashboard or "old-school" dashboard?
  • When you say the dashboard does not load, how does that appear on your phone, e.g. is there any error, etc?
  • Are you trying to access the dashboard when on your local network (LAN), remotely or both?
  • Have you checked the logs on the HE hub to see if there is any information in there?

Thanks for responding.

iPhone iOS Hubitat App version 2.1.53.

Here is what the actual problem, I selected ‘Load last dashboard’ in the app. That most often does not load and I get the loading animation in the grid area. If I push the refresh button, then I see the one dashboard I’ve made. Then I need to click it to see the dashboard. Work around is not to Load last dashboard. Any thoughts?

Furthermore, something makes the app hang when I open another app and the Hubitat app is in the background, and then try to make the Hubitat App the active app again. The app then hangs (see logo only) and I am forced close the app and reopen it.

This is not an EZ dashboard, there is no app installed called EZ I can see in the Hubitat dashboards app.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

T

Unfortunately I am an Android....

EZ Dashboards are a relatively recent introduction to the platform as an "EaZier" alternative to the original (well v2) Dashboards which you have used. If you work through the process of creating a dashboard in the web UI you will likely see an option to create an EZ dashboard.

This sounds like one for the dev's to look at... Might tag @bobbyD as I am not sure of who looks after the Apples around here.

Since you didn't create a dashboard, then there is no dashboard to load. It sounds like the load last dashboard feature might have a bug when no dashboards are present. I have escalated the issue with our mobile app developers for further investigation. Thanks for your feedback.

There is ONE dashboard. That’s the one I’m testing and having an issue only in the iOS app. To define it more, when the app is in the background for a little bit it seems to not be able to recover.

If I close the app and restart the app without loading my last dashboard then it works for that loop. I believe the app cannot recover the connection to the Hub

Any developers reading this?

Thanks

Probably not, because they are already busy trying to replicate any issues that could cause the dashboard not to load properly, and what might make the app hang. Rest assured that if they can reproduce the problem, an update to the app to correct the behavior will follow shortly.
