This should not happen. I have had these plugs, and they report state.

None of mine does report. I bought them a long time ago and use them with a community driver as no official driver was available. Maybe I have to update the driver.
Yup. "Generic Zigbee Outlet". Be sure to click "Configure" after changing drivers.
