I have a few ZWave LR devices to add and am unable to do so via the mobile app. I get the infamous "You cannot add devices while connected to the hub in cloud mode" message. I disabled cell service and IP relay on my iPhone without any change in app behavior. I have a C8Pro.
Any suggestions on how I can get the app to connect via LAN instead of Cloud?
You could just try bringing up the UI in the phone browser, like on a PC, using the IP address URL. If that doesn't connect, your phone is not actually connected to wifi. If it does connect, you can use that to connect devices until you figure out the issue with the app.
Edit: Sorry, I think don't LR connect is available in the web UI yet. Nevermind.

Since I only had about a dozen devices in my system, I reset the hub to default and I am now able to add SmartStart devices via the mobile app. Not sure what setting or issue would result in the mobile app only operating in Cloud mode.
Thank you for the detail. I had previously installed SmartStart Manager and it looks like a great tool for managing devices once they are registered with the Hubitat. To do so without the mobile app, which was the purpose of my post, I need to use a 3rd party QR scanner and obtain the ~22 character code to manually enter the details. Also, the mobile app was not functioning properly as noted by being stuck in Cloud mode. While I am not certain as to the root cause, the hub reset remedied the issue. Not something I want to do again as I continue registering the remainder of my devices.
