Hello,
I recently got a Centralite 3400, and now I have it connected to the HE. Initially I had trouble pairing, only to discover that the pairing button was loose, I had to take it apart and hold it together (fix it in place) while pairing.
I'm happy to report that I can now set a code and actually arm and disarm (stay) and have it trigger when a sensor is open.
One thing that i can't figure out is why I lost the proximity sensor as soon as I paired it with HE. I can even verify this. I remove it from HE, reset the 3400 to factory, and the proximity sensor works.
As soon as I pair it, it stops working. I've looked around but I can't seem to find any discussion about this or maybe a fix.
Also was wondering if this keypad is HE friendly
I have the xfinity system now and I like this pad, but once the trial ends, it's going back, I think it's cloud dependent.
Hi Ryan,
No actually the lights go out after a few seconds. when I move my hand close, nothing happens. I press a button, the lights come one. but they won't trigger on proximity.
Thanks for that tip. I think you're right. I thought I fixed the tamper switch. The plastic seat is cracked on one side and I thought I had it back together. I think I'll I'll open it back up and superglue it. I think it's loose by just a tiny bit that sometimes it doesn't make contact.
Cheers, I'll post back after I glue it.
Do you happen to know where I can get the mount? I had to make a makeshift board to slide into the cubby on the back to hold that button down.
My proximity sensors work (turns on the lights on keypad) but it does not inform the hub of this. Also, the tamper switch does not change state in the hub either.
Any ideas? If you need any info, pleSe let me know. I will look up anything with instructions.
Not a bad idea to reply here since its probably not a common device, may find some other people who use it. However, since a new topic was created with more information please continue over there to avoid confusion:
