Quick Question - from backup/restore perspective only, if i only have Zigbee and no Z-Wave devices is there any benefit to a cloud backup with
C7 hub ? I think I'm reading that there isnt, as long as I have access to a local backup?

Depends--if you want to restore to a C-8, then it would be seamless. For C-7 to C-7 (and likely what you'd get for a warranty replacement), you'd need to re-pair.
