I did find two warehouses that services both plumbers, HVAC contractors and Appliance service. You will be amazed what Home Depot or Menard's don't carry because of the restrictions to those parts being considered dangerous or professionally installed only.

I needed a defrost timer and a new sensor to go with it on an older refrigerator. If I was in Michigan, I would just drive to the appliance part store and show him the old part(s) and he would have the new parts same day or next day. Here in Illinois, I had to go to a distribution warehouse near O'Hare airport. I used the company name of a random repair organization to make the purchase and put in a phony license number and walked off with the parts I needed. Moral of the story is many repairs they think are too dangerous for consumer aren't always that way and the laws on this casts a net of an entire industry because of bureaucracy.

So the moral of the story is; elections have consequences. :grinning:

We have one of those in a couple of weeks, it’s the usual choice of:

Well intentioned incompetence
Vs
Malicious incompetence

I'd probably vote for "well intentioned incompetence", although with "malicious incompetence" you know what you get.

Decisions, decisions. :man_shrugging:

Yeah, it’s how I’m planning to vote, the LNP mob are planning to do fun things like repeal the law that lets us ignore our employers emails etc after hours and other fun things.

I’d happily support their nuclear power plans, if they were realistic, and not incredibly fanciful BS both on cost and timeline grounds.

I’m officially old :joy:. I remember when the cassette came out to replace the 8-tracks in my car that it was so compact and convenient that I thought that the future of Star Trek had actually arrived :joy:. That was until I accidentally recorded over a precious mix tape.

I'll admit I am somewhere in between but old enough to at least know that carrying a pencil or pen to wind an album back onto the tape is also important.

Not out loud....

On a side note, still can't believe people get stuck in that situation during a heavy rain event... like we had over the weekend.... (6 inches plus for some surrounding areas in the last 24-36 hours... )

How about do something to help instead of recording their demise for social media likes.

Difficult conversations... our current Alexa asked me about this other Alexa in the same spot in this old photograph.

(and that old photo was taken for this comment)

That Alexa is always listening doesn't bother me as much as the stare...
